Dr. DeVaro is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his internship at the Pennsylvania Hospital, his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh, where he served as Chief Resident, and his fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the Duke University Eye Center.
Dr. DeVaro has served as a Clinical Associate at the Duke University Eye Center and an Instructor in Ophthalmology at the Wills Eye Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah. He teaches and lectures to medical students and residents and directs the ophthalmology curriculum for the pediatric residency program at Memorial University Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus. He discussed his experience with CureSight for amblyopia at the 2024 AAPOS meeting in Austin, Texas.
